About This Program
This is not a direct job opening or any standard training program. We are just changing the way we hire.
This is a mentor-first hiring program, designed to train, evaluate, and hire full-time Mentors / Instructors for CipherSchools and its partner ecosystem.
Participants are developed primarily as professional mentors, with strong Software Engineering foundations built in parallel to support credibility and real-world teaching.
The goal is simple: to prepare individuals who can teach responsibly, explain clearly, and take ownership of learner outcomes.

What You’ll Be Trained & Evaluated On
During the program, you will be trained and continuously evaluated on:
Mentorship & Instruction
Explaining complex technical concepts with clarity and structure
Guiding learner thinking instead of giving direct answers
Handling doubts, misconceptions, and real learner scenarios
Teaching with responsibility, patience, and professional judgment
Software Engineering Foundations (Supporting Facet)
Core programming fundamentals
Data Structures & Algorithms
Problem-solving and logical reasoning
Full-stack development fundamentals (contextual, not product-heavy)
Engineering depth here exists to support mentorship quality, not to optimize for pure developer roles.
What You’ll Do (Post Graduating from Program)
After 6 months of Program
Candidates who meet quality benchmarks will be hired as full-time Mentors / Instructors and will:
Conduct live teaching sessions and workshops
Mentor learners across structured programs
Design and review assignments and assessments
Evaluate learner progress and provide actionable feedback
Collaborate with Content, Ops, and Tech teams
Uphold CipherSchools’ teaching standards and mentor culture
Additionally, get the opportunity to work in parallel as an SDE with our engineering team.

Duration: 6 Months
Internship: Opportunity to get paid(15k-25k/month) internship during the program, post minimum 3 months of learning.
Commitment: High involvement, continuous evaluation
In-person Exposure: CipherSchools office (travel & stay covered for in-person interactions by CipherSchools)

Compensation (Post Hiring)
CTC: ₹8 -13 LPA (Full-time Mentor / Instructor role at CipherSchools)

This is a mentor hiring pipeline, not a mass program. Seats are limited and program is expected to run twice in a year.

Since we frequently hire mentors to teach students in higher education, we’ve identified several challenges after onboarding, including attitude, responsibility, ownership, knowledge gaps, behavioural concerns, and more. Understanding these aspects takes time, and by the time we fully realize them, it can sometimes be too late, leading to irreversible impact.
To address this, we created a program where we carefully select individuals who are genuinely passionate about teaching and train them to become not only technically strong in their subject but also refined in personality and effective in teaching methodology.
